Cultivating a Life of Gratitude

I am committing myself, during 2010, to attempt to cultivate a greater awareness of how much I have to be thankful and grateful for by sharing my daily findings and musings with you. It is my hope that by blogging about gratitude, I will be more aware of what is going on around me in my life, my family, my friends' lives and our world.

Kindness

I appreciate the cashier at Target today who graciously 'suspended' my order in the 10 items and under lane while I 'ran' out to the car with Ethan in tow to fetch my left behind wallet.  She was very kind and gracious about me having to run out there and I so appreciated her attitude.  If she had been snarky or mean about it, think how that could have affected my afternoon.  By suspending it, she was able to continue to check other people out and 'go back' to it when I arrived.  Thanks nice cashier lady!

  1. i love how friendly people are at Targets in MN. This is a nice post. You should send a little letter to the manager about her, it could really impact her in a performance review!
